Welcome to MyLondonDog!
To help you get started and make the most of MyLondonDog here are a few tips and helpful hints.
Getting personal
Now that you've registered, you can log in to edit your personal details whenever you wish. Just click on your right hand profile menu and of the links will take you to an editable area where you can change your information - simply click Update My Details to change your password or your address, or details about your dog. Don't forget to hit Update when you're done.
Add a Profile Picture
Now that you've joined upload a picture of yourself, or your dog so people can put a name to a face.
Just click on Update My Photo, browse to the location of your image on your computer and then click on the Upload button. Please note that the maximum file size for each picture is 500kb.
Add a picture
To add a photo, just click on Upload New Picture. You can add a title and a description for each picture you upload. You can load as many photos as you like - the three most recently uploaded pictures will appear on your homepage. Pictures should be in .jpg format and the maximum file size for each picture is 100kb.
If you want to include a video of your pet, you first need to upload it to YouTube video website (http://www.youtube.com/), which is free, quick and easy. Once you've done that, simply click Add Video and follow the simple instructions to add it to your page. Then other MyLondonDog users can watch your pets in all their glory!
Dogs with blogs
My Blog Dashboard is where you (or your pet) can share news, interesting information or just sound off about anything that's important to you. Other users can respond to what you write - you can find their comments by clicking on the Comments section below each blog entry.
When you add a blog entry to your page. a text box will appear with simple word processing functionality.
Your Messages
If other MyLondonDog users send you a message, it will appear in the My Messages box on your page. You can also post messages for other owners or pets by clicking the little envelope icon next to their name or browsing to their profile and hovering over the Messages link on their page and clicking on Send Private Message. Only registered users of MyLondonDog can leave messages, so don't forget to log-in when you want to post messages or blog comments.
Once you're up and running, you can create events, set up groups, post to our discussion forum and chat in the Lounge.
